India will go into the third day’s play looking for quick wickets against England at Lord’s. At the end of second day’s England ended up with 214 for the loss of six wickets in response to India’s 295 all out. For England, Gary Ballance made a fine century in tough conditions. Moeen Ali looked good before he got out for a well-made 32. Rest of the batsmen though, struggled. The likes of Alastair Cook and Ian Bell have been out of form and even in the second Test they couldn’t get going.

For India, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took four wickets for India. He swung the ball late and snared the wickets. Rest of the bowlers bowled with good discipline. Ravindra Jadeja and Murali Vijay too picked one wicket each. England batsmen will look to get as many runs as possibler on day 4. Mathew Parior, who has bene under pressure is one batsman who will look for runs. The track will be expected to offer some help for the seamers even on the third day of the match.
