Younis Khan made 177 and Sarfraz Ahmed and Abdur Rehman hit half-centuries to help the tourists pile up a big score. Pakistan started the day with an attacking intent and used their sweep to negate the threat of Rangana Herath. But when Sri Lanka came into bat, their intent was clear that their batsmen will not allow the Pakistani bowlers to settle down. The mighty Kumar Sangakkara and Kaushal Silva went on to steer the Lankan innings after they lost Upul Tharanga pretty early.
Sri Lankan batsmen will look to dominate the Pakistani bowlers on Day 3 of the first Test match at Galle. Sangakkara will look to develop on his score and Silva also would like to keep the scoreboard ticking.
