Sri Lanka are in a strong position after Day three of the second Test against Pakistan at Sinhalese Sports Club, Colombo. Mahela Jayawardene playing his final innings of his Test career is on 49.  And the Lankan fans couldn’t have asked for a better show than watching old warhorses Kumar Sangakkara and Jayawardene involved in a partnership. Jayawardene was given a Guard of Honour by the Pakistan team as he walked out to bat for the final time. Jayawardene needs another 41 runs to end his career with an average of 50 in Tests. Meanwhile, Sangakkara is on 54 and closes in on completing 12,000 runs in Tests.
