Mahela Jayawardene gets Guard of Honour from Pakistan team in his final Test innings

Sri Lankan batsman Mahela Jayawardene walked out to bat for the final time in Tests with Sri Lanka on 81 for two on Day Three of the second Test at the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC), Colombo.. Jayawardene walked out to a rousing applause from the spectators and a Guard of Honour from the Pakistan team.
Jayawardene needs another 90 runs to finish with a career average of at least 50. The first innings wasn’t so memorable when he was dismissed leg-before by Saeed Ajmal for just four runs. It was the ninth time Ajmal had dismissed him in tests.
This is Jayawardene’s 149th Test. He has scored over 11,000 runs and has 34 centuries to his name with 11 of them on his home ground, SSC, Colombo.
