Mark Wood’s Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 stint with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is over. To prepare for England’s grueling season ahead, Wood has decided to head back home and play county cricket for Durham. Wood played just one game for CSK, against Mumbai Indians (MI), leaking 49 runs in his 4 overs. Wood made the announcement on his Instagram profile: “The decision has been made for me to return home to England to prepare for the English summer. Having worked so hard to get back into the test team, and because I’m not currently not in the CSK side, I am coming home to play for Durham to hopefully put my name in the hat for Test match selection.”

England are scheduled to play all three formats against Pakistan and India, 5 ODIs and a T20I against Australia, and an ODI against Scotland.
