Till a few months ago, Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh was a bachelor and among those cricketers who carried huge female fan following. But a revelation from him about his marriage must have surely broken the hearts of his female fans. Yuvraj tied knot with British model and actress Hazel Keech on Wednesday. The wedding ceremony took place in a private ceremony in Fatehgarh Sahib Gurudwara, located 40 kms away from Chandigarh. The marriage took place in the presence of his friends and family. Hazel was looking stunning in her pink lehenga, while Yuvraj wore a sherwani of the same colour. After visiting Gurudwara, the couple were blessed by Sant Baba Ram Singh Ji.
During the wedding ritual, Hazel was often referred by a new name of Gurbasant Kaur by Saint Balvinder Singh, who was reading the kirtan. Later it came to know that Sant Baba Ram Singh Ji suggested to change the name of Hazel to Gurbasant. Well, that seriously sounds a little bizarre. Yuvraj’s father Yograj singh did not attend the wedding ceremony because of the same reason as he does not like talking to or getting involved with any Saint. During this, the couple also went out for a photoshoot for media.
A long party is also expected to take place after the wedding. A friend of the bride said, “We signed up for a week long party that has just begun. Expect surprises and a big show in Goa and Delhi.” As reported by Mid-Day, the outfit for further occasions were also revealed by one of the friends. “Hazel has already chosen a red and gold Benarasi for the Hindu do. Yuvi’s final outfit is yet to be zeroed on.”
