Rest of the World XI have started their innings in their bicentenary game at Lord’s against the Marylebone Cricket Club. Adam Gilchrist has opened the batting and is a wearing a camera on his helmet. This is a new innovation and is something that will bring spice to the game. In five overs, Rest of the World XI have moved to 33 for no loss.

After electing to bat, Gilchrist and Virender Sehwag started the innings. Brett Lee opened the bowling. In the first over, Sehwag played and missed a few outside the off-stump. Umar Gul started off from the other end and strayed on Gilchrist’s pads. He was hit for two fours. Then in the third over, Sehwag dispatched a full toss through the covers for four and then drove one down the ground with authority.
