Marylebone Cricket Clube (MCC) have started their innings against Rest of the World XI in the Lord’s Bicentenary match. They are chasing 294 after Yuvraj Singh’s sparkling ton took RoW to 293. However, before this innings could start, there was some bad news for the RoW side as Shane Warne couldn’t take the field. He has a hand injury after receiving a bouncer from Brett Lee.
Sachin Tendulkar and Aaron Finch have started the innings and Peter Siddle bowled two maiden overs. But, at the other end, Tino Best leaked a few boundaries to Finch. Tendulkar got off the mark by cutting one to third-man.The first runs off Siddle came in his third over when Finch pulled a short ball from him for a four. Tendulkar then hit one behind point for a four. In five overs, MCC are 28 for no loss.
Though Warne has been taken out of the contest, the crowd would still hope for a good show from Tendulkar.
