Cameron Boyce has been awarded the Man of the Match. The leg-spinner took three wickets in his three overs for Hobart Hurricanes and gave away only 11 runs. That is it from us for today. Join us again on February 5 for the second semi-final of the Big Bash League between Sydney Sixers and Perth Scorchers. The match will played at the Sydney Cricket Ground.


Hastings comes in. He bowls a bouncer and it is called a wide. So, only one run required to win for the Hurricanes. Hastings bowls a length delivery and Bailey dabs that away towards short third-man for a quick single. That is it. Hobart Hurricanes beat Melbourne Stars in the first semi-final by seven wickets.
Stoinis is back into the attack. He bowls a full delivery and Bailey hits that over mid-off for a four. Stoinis bowls a length delivery and Bailey dabs that towards short third-man for a single. Stoinis bowls a full and wide delivery and Birt hits that over wide mid-off for a four. Stoinis bowls a another full and wide delivery and Birt backs away and lifts it over point for a four.
Hastings comes back into the attack. He bowls a bouncer and Paine pulls to get a single towards square-leg. Hastings bowls one down the leg side and Bailey plays that towards fine-leg for two runs. Bailey then takes a single. Hastings bowls a back of a length delivery and Paine works it behind square on the leg side. He goes for the second run, but Maling hits the stumps directly from long-leg and Paine is run out. Travis Birt is the new man in.

Malinga comes back. Both Paine and Bailey get a single each. Malinga bowls a short delivery and Paine pulls that behind square on the leg side for a four. Malinga bowls a slower delivery and Paine gets a thick inside-edge for a four towards fine-leg. Malinga bowls another slower delivery and Paine chips it towards straight mid-on for a single.
Marcus Stoinis comes into the attack. He too is a right-arm medium-fast bowler. He bowls a back of a length delivery and Bailey turns it away for a single on the leg side. Stoinis bowls down the leg side and Paine flicks it away for two runs towards mid-wicket. That is his half-century. Paine then gets a single towards wide mid-on.
Worrall comes in and bowls one short. Bailey pulls that for a four towards square-leg. That is also the 100 up for the Hurricanes. Paine then gets two runs with a cover drive.
Muirhead continues. He drags one short and Bailey pulls that for a for towards mid-wicket. Muirhead then bowls another short delivery and Paine pulls it away for a four towards deep mid-wicket. Muirhead bowls a looping full-toss and Paine sweeps it away for a four behind square on the leg side. There was a terrible mis-field as well on the boundary.
Malinga comes back into the attack. He bowls a short delivery and Bailey pulls it away for a single towards square-leg. Malinga bowls a slower delivery and Paine dabs that away for a quick single behind the wickets. Bailey then gets a single towards extra-cover. Malinga bowls another slower delivery and Paine dabs this away on the leg side for another single. Bailey then gets a single off the last ball of the over.
Muirhead comes in. He bowls three dot deliveries to Paine. He then bowls wide outside off-stump and Paine cuts that for a single towards deep point. Bailey then cuts a wide delivery for another single. Muirhead bowls a straight delivery and Paine pulls that for a four in front of square on the leg side.
Wright comes into the attack. He bowls a short delivery down the leg side. Paine goes for the pull and misses. The players appeal for caught behind, but the umpire says it is a wide. Paine then drives towards long-on for a single. Bailey gets off the mark with two quick runs behind square on the leg side. Bailey cuts one towards third-man for a single. Paine then pulls a back of a length delivery for a single towards deep mid-wicket.
Muirhead comes in. He bowls a waist-high full-toss and Paine pulls that for a single towards deep mid-wicket. That fell short of the fielder. Muirhead bowls one teasingly outside off-stump and Malik charges down the ground and hits it in the air inside-out. Wright takes a good low catch diving forward at deep cover-point. George Bailey is the new man in.

Worral to bowl. Paine gets a quick single after hitting a full delivery to mid-off. Worrall bowls on the pads and Malik gets a single on the leg side for leg-byes. Worrall bowls straight and Paine gets two runs towards deep mid-wicket. Worral bowls outside off-stump and Paine slaps that straight to mid-off for a single.
James Muirhead comes into the attack. He is a right-arm leg-spinner. He gets turn straight away as Paine gets one run towards deep cover. Malik also gets a single through covers. Muirhead bowls a very wide delivery outside off-stump.
Hasting comes back. He bowls on the pads and Dunk flicks that over backward square-leg for a four. Dunk then gets a single towards mid-off. Hastings bowls a short and wide delivery and Paine cuts that over cover-point for a four. That is the 50 up for Hobart. Paine then gets a quick single to a back of a length delivery. Hastings bowls one straight and Dunk tries to turn it away on the leg side. He gets a thick outside-edge and Luke Wright takes the catch at cover. Shoaib Malik is the new man in and he gets off the mark with two runs through extra-cover.

Worrall comes back into the attack. Paine gets a single towards short point. Worrall bowls a back of a length delivery and Dunk pulls that over mid-wicket for three runs. Paine then gets a quick single towards short fine-leg. Worrall bowls a straight delivery and Dunk hits through the line over the bowler for a six. He then gets a single to keep strike for the next over.
Malinga has been brought back into the attack. He bowls a short and wide delivery and Dunk cuts that over backward-point for a four. Maling bowls one on the pads and Dunk flicks it away for a single towards deep mid-wicket. Paine gets a single towards short fine-leg.
John Hastings replaces Malinga. DUnk gets two runs towards deep mid-wicket. Dunk then turns one towards square-leg for a single. Hastings bowls a half-volley and Paine plays a cover drive and gets a four.
Daniel Worrall will share the new ball with Malinga. He is a right-arm medium-fast bowler. Dunk takes a single towards mid-on. Paine then gets two runs towards deep mid-wicket. Paine again gets two runs through mid-wicket.
Ben Dunk and Tim Paine walk out to bat for Hobart Hurricanes. Lasith Malinga comes into bowl. He bowls a full-toss and Dunk hits that over wide mid-off for a four. He then gets a single. Maling bowls one down the leg side and Paine flicks it away for a towards fine-leg


Laughlin will bowl the last over of the innings. He bowls a wide low full-toss and Hastings hits that straight to George Bailey at mid-off. He takes a good low catch. James Muirhead is the new man in. He gets off the mark with two runs towards deep point. Laughlin bowls a wide low full-toss again and Muirhead hits that in-between mid-off and covers for a four. Laughlin bowls a slower delivery and Muirhead scoops that in the air and Bailey takes a comfortable catch at mid-off. Lasith Malinga is the new man in, but he will be at the non-striker’s end. Laughlin bowls a low full-toss and Stoinis gets a thick outside edge as the ball goes towards third-man for two runs. The last ball is a yorker outside off-stump and Stoinis misses. The batsmen run through for a single.

Hilfenhaus comes back into the attack. He bowls a short delivery and Hastings pulls that over square-leg for a four. Five other singles make it nine runs in the over.
Bollinger comes in. He bowls a length delivery outside off-stump and Hodge hits that inside-out over extra-cover. Bollinger bowls a full delivery and Hodge hits that well over deep mid-wicket for a six. That is his half-century as well. Bollinger bowls a back of a length delivery just outside off-stump. Hodge tries to pull, but inside-edges it onto the stumps. John Hastings in the new man in and he gets off the mark with a quick single.

Boyce has been brought back into the attack. He bowls a turner and HUssey hits that in the air and straight to at long-on. Ben Dunk takes the catch. Marcus Stoinis is the new batsman in. He gets off the mark with two runs towards wide long-on.

Bollinger comes into the attack. Hodge heaves one away to deep mid-wicket for a single. Bollinger bowls three dot deliveries before bowling one short. Hussey pulls that wide of long-on for a four. Hussey then gets a single towards deep point.
Mascarenhas comes back into the attack. Hodge works a straight delivery behind square on the leg side for a single. Hussey then hits one towards wide mid-on for a single. Mascarenhas bowls a length delivery and Hodge plays it towards deep mid-wicket for two runs. That is the 100 up for Melbourne. Hodge then pushes one towards long-on for a single.
Laughlin continues. He bowls a length delivery and Hodge hits that for a six over deep mid-wicket. Laughlin bowls a fast yorker, but Hodge guides that away for a four behind point.
Hilfenhaus comes in. Hodge and Hussey get a single each. Hilfenhaus bowls one on the leg side and Hodge works it away for a single behind square on the leg side. Hilfenhaus then bowls a short delivery and Hussey backs away and guides the ball over the slip region for a four. Hussey then gets a single towards square-leg. Hodge then gets a single towards square-leg.
Laughlin comes into the attack. The right-arm medium-fast bowler bowls a loose short delivery and Hussey pulls it fine for a four towards fine-leg. Laughlin bowls another short delivery and that is down the leg side for a wide. He follows that up with another wide down the leg side. The batsmen also take a run as the wicketkeeper does not collect it properly. Laughlin bowls a bouncer and Hodge pulls that for a four behind square on the leg side.
Hilfenhaus has been brought back into the attack. Hodge takes a single towards mid-wicket. Hilfenhaus comes from round the wicket and bowls a full delivery. Hussey hits it straight back. Hilfenhaus gets his hands on it and the ball dislodges the bails. There is an appeal for run out, but Hodge had made his ground. Hilfenhaus bowls a short delivery and Hussey pulls it away a four through mid-wicket.
Bollinger comes in. He bowls a low full-toss outside off-stump and Hodge hits that to mid-off for a quick single. Hussey takes a single square on the leg side. Hodge then hits a wide delivery past mid-off for a four.
Boyce continues. Maxwell comes down the track and hits one straight to Travis Birt at long-off. David Hussey is the new man in. He gets off the mark with a single behind square-leg.

Doug Bollinger comes into the attack. He bowls a back of a length delivery and Maxwell goes for the pull. The ball bounces just a little low and hits Maxwell near his stomach. Bollinger bowls a bouncer and Hodge keeps his pull down towards deep square-leg.
Cameron Boyce comes into bowl. He is a right-arm leg-spin. He pitches one on middle-stump and spins away from Wright. He misses the ball and it hits the pads. The players appeal and the umpire raises his finger. Replays show that it would have hit middle and leg stump. Brad Hodge has come into the middle. He gets off the mark with a cut shot towards cover-point.

Mascarenhas bowls one on the pads and Wade swings that away for a four behind square on the leg side. Wade then tries to hoick one over long-off, but mistimes it high in the air. Malik runs to his right and takes the catch diving down. Glenn Maxwell is the new man in. He slog-sweeps his first ball over fine-leg for six. Maxwell then pushes one towards deep mid-wicket and gets two runs.

Malik comes in again. Wade is trying to hit him out of the attack, but is finding it difficult. Wade then cuts one towards point and takes off for a single. He collides with Wright mid-way. Wright drops his bat, but manages to dive in at the striker’s end.
Mascarenhas comes in again. Wade plays one towards square-leg and takes a single. Wright heaves a length delivery towards mid-wicket for a single.
Shoaib Malik comes into bowl. White tries to heave that over square-leg, but he top-edges it high in the air and Ben Laughlin takes the catch. Matthew Wade is the new batsman in. He gets off the mark straight away. Wright takes a single towards square-leg. Wade plays one towards short third-man and takes a single.

Dimitri Mascarenhas comes into bowl. White stands up and hits a lofted straight drive for a four. He then gives strike to Wright. Mascarenhas bowls a full delivery and Wright hits that just past mid-off for a four.
Cameron White and Luke wright walk out to bat for Melbourne. Ben Hilfenhaus will begin proceedings for Hobart. White gets off the mark with a single towards mid-off. Wright also gets off the mark with a single towards short fine-leg
