Australian skipper Michael Clarke’s injury will keep him out of the rest of the Zimbabwe Triangular Series. The right-hand batsman scored a valuable 68 not out, but in the process flared up his existing hamstring injury.
Clarke had retired hurt soon after getting to his fifty, before coming back to bat in the final over of the Australian innings. However, he did not take the field initially in the Zimbabwean innings, though he returned and even bowled a frugal over at the death. Unfortunately, Clarke said at the post-match interview that he would be returning to Australia after compounding his hamstring injury.
