Mohammad Hafeez reached his 21st One-Day International (ODI) half-century in just 28 balls, against Sri Lanka in the 2nd ODI at Hambantota on Tuesday. Right from the onset he has taken on the Lankan bowlers. He is playing a blinder as the stage is set for the rest of the middle-order to finish things off in style. Pakistan still need 211 runs in 37 overs. Sri Lanka skipper Angelo Mathews is trying a lot of things but nothing is working for him. Rangana Herath will play a crucial role but the Lankans need to break this partnership between Hafeez and Ahmed Shehzad.

Earlier in the day, Thisara Perera and Mathews’s respective innings help Sri Lanka to set a challenging target of 310 runs against Pakistan in the 2nd One-Day International (ODI) at Hambantota on Tuesday. Sri Lanka recovered well after being reduced to 62/3 in the 11th over, as Mathews and Mahela Jayawardene’s 122 run stand helped them get back on track.
