Mohammad Nabi  completed 2,000 ODI runs in his 88th match during the second ODI against Zimbabwe at Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium, Sharjah. Nabi became the first Afghanistan player to achieve this landmark. He had 1,972 runs against his name before this ODI. He has hit one century and nine half-centuries in his career so far.

Nabi came to bat when the team’s total was 39 for 5. Chasing 334 to win, Afghanistan lost 5 wickets for just 39 runs after Tendai Chatara rocked their top-order. Chatara got rid of Ihsanullah Janat (2), Asghar Stanikzai (1) and Nasir Jamal . At time of publishing Nabi has 2,002 ODI runs.
