MS Dhoni became the first wicket-keeper to take 100 ODI stumpings during India’s contest against Sri Lanka at Colombo. Dhoni, prior to this match, was tied with Kumar Sangakkara on 99 stumpings.

Dhoni’s 100th victim was Akila Dananjaya, who misread Yuzvendra Chahal’s googly. In addition, Dhoni also completed his 200th overseas catch as wicketkeeper. He caught Upul Tharanga on 48. It was in the fourth match that Dhoni played his 300th ODI game as well.

Dhoni also equaled Romesh Kaluwitharana‘s record of most stumpings against any opposition (22).
