In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014 game played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians, Bangalore made a fine start while chasing a target of 188 runs. It was the diminutive Parthiv Patel who opened up the shoulders by smashing Jasprit Bumrah for a boundary. He then played square cuts against Pawan Suyal for more boundaries. Here is a player who loves to play on the back-foot through the off-side. Mumbai bowlers were not disciplined enough for the first three overs of the game. The big man, Chris Gayle looked to consolidate early on, before thrashing Suyal for a six down the ground. He smashed more than 20 runs in the over.
