Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard’s unbeaten 68-run stand has put Mumbai Indians’ in command against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. MI were 152 for four after 18 overs in their IPL 2014 match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard were at the crease, batting at 15 and 20 not out respectively. There was a heated exchange between Pollard and Mitchell Starc in the 17th over of the game, during which Starc tried to hit Pollard with the ball while the batsman walked off from the strike. Pollard, in return smashed the bat into the ground.
The two batsmen have added 35 runs for the fifth wicket. MI lost the key wickets of CM Gautam and Corey Anderson, which pegged them back. Yuzvendra Chahal provided RCB a big breakthrough when he dismissed the dangerous Anderson for just six in the IPL match. Anderson went for an ambitious stroke just after hitting a six, and ended up mistiming the shot.
In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014 match played between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Mumbai, Mumbai made a fine start. Both Ben Duck and CM Gautam started well. However, Duck got out to Harshal Patel’s bowling. Once he lost his wicket Ambati Rayudu and Gautam took over essaying fine shots.
