Murali Vijay has completed his half-century in the second innings of the second Test at Lord’s. Vijay has had an impressive tour so far, having scored a ton and a fifty in the first Test at Nottingham. He followed that up with a patient 24 in the first innings on a green track with the ball moving around. Vijay’s innings has helped India stay afloat, even as wickets have fallen at the other end.
Vijay had struck a good partnership with Cheteshwar Pujara, but after he was dismissed, India lost Virat Kohli off the next ball. And to make matters worse a few overs later, Rahane got a shocking decision from the umpire and had to walk back. It was a big blow for India as Rahane was the centurion in the first innings.
Vijay is now batting with skipper MS Dhoni.
