Shanthakumaran Sreesanth has given a thumbs-up to the cricket stadium of the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA). The stadium is under construction at Krishnagiri in Wayanad District, Kerala.

The Indian fast-bowler has said that the stadium is up to international standard and would play a major role in encouraging new talent in the region.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony on Wednesday, he said that all the conditions in the district support the establishment of a cricket academy in the stadium whose facilities can be of use to Team India.

Sreesanth also played down the allegations of corruption against the BCCI and termed them as “baseless”.

The stadium is being constructed at a budget of Rs.32 lakh in the land owned by Wayanad Muslim Orphanage (WMO) College at Muttil.
