Sami Aslam, the Pakistan Under-19 captain has become the leading run-scorer in Under-19 one-day cricket. Aslam achieved the milestone during the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2014 quarter-final against England at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

 

He was dismissed for 18 during Pakistan’s run-chase of 205.

 

Aslam has been a crucial part of Pakistan’s Under-19 setup. He was also a part of the team that played the World Cup in 2012, where Pakistan lost in a close quarter-final to India.

 

In this World Cup, Aslam has been a crucial part of Pakistan’s plans. Not only is a he a captain, but also opens the batting.

 

Earlier in the tournament, Vijay Zol became the leading run-scorer in Under-19 one-day cricket for India.
