South African Under-19 skipper Aiden Markram and Greg Oldfield steadied the innings after quick wickets fell in the ICC Under-19 World Cup final at the Dubai International Stadium on Saturday. However, at the start of the 33rd over, Karamat Ali removed Oldfield, who was looking dangerous for Pakistan.
Markram is unbeaten on 47 with Yaseen Valli accompanying him. South Africa need 33 runs to win their first under-19 World Cup from 107 balls.
South Africa were 99 for the loss of two wickets at the end of 32 overs.
Earlier, Pakistan were bowled out for 131 by South Africa.
With his semi-final exploits, Kagiso Rabada was the one to watch out and already touted as a star. But, his performances have often eclipsed the likes of Justin Dilland Corbin Bosch, two pacemen who have been absolutely crucial in the middle overs. They may not be as fast as Rabada, but back their strengths to do the job
