Resuming from the score of 72 for 3, with Chase and Kieran Powell at the crease, West Indies started on a positive note. Chase, given his current form scored some glorious boundaries using the Aamer and Abbas’ pace along with Powell who had been using his feet excellently against the spinners. Moreover they also kept the scoreboard ticking and added 65 runs for the fourth wicket.

But Aamer who had been getting excellent amount of swing broke this partnership getting rid of Powell (38). Aamer darted on a full delivery going wide of the crease. The ball struck Powell’s pads directly who tried flicking the ball away. But on-field umpires turned down the appeal making Pakistan take a review. The reply showed conclusive evidence of not bat involved and the ball would have gone to hit the leg stump.

It was just a matter of few deliveries before West Indies lost Vishaul Singh off Abbas’ bowling. Abbnas bowled a back of length delivery which Vishaul poked at and saw Younis Khan taking a catch few inches above the ground.

Despite losing 2 wickets in quick succession, Chase and Dowrich started the repair work quickly. They both ensured of playing both attacking and defensive shots against Yasir Shah and Shadab. Playing with this technique, it looked like these two would take the game away from Pakistan just like they did in the first game.

But debutant Shadab got the breakthrough here also getting his maiden Test wicket. Shadab bowled a classic legbreak which Dowrich tried defending going to his full stretch. But got beaten in the turn and Younis again took an excellent low catch to break this partnership.

With 6 wickets down, all hopes for West Indies rely on this batting pair of Chase and Holder who are the last batting pair for the hosts.
