Younis Khan got to his Test career’s 33rd hundred against West Indies in the second Test which is being played at the  Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. With this century, Younis has now climbed one step ahead by overtaking Australian batsman Steve Waugh and has climbed on to NO. 9 in the list of highest number of Test centuries. He is now just 1 century behind Sunil Gavaskar, Brain and Mahela Jayawardene who all have 34 Test centuries in total. Also the interesting part about Younis is that of those with more hundreds than him, only Jacques Kallis and Kumar Sangakkara have better averages. He now also tops the list of scoring most consecutive 100’s without being dismissed in the 90’s. FULL CRICKET SCORECARD: Pakistan vs West Indies, 2nd Test at Abu Dhabi

Batting first after winning the toss, Pakistan got off to a disappointing start as they lost their both openers, Azhar Ali and Sami Aslam got off while the team had just put up 42 runs on the board. It was Asad Shafiq’s 68 and his partnership along with Younis of 87 runs off 26.4. Shannon Gabriel dismissed Shafiq and then Misbah-ul-Haq walked in and then it was all Pakistan show. Both these veteran batsmen took to the West Indies bowling in every possible manner as they started scoring runs very easily after Misbah settled down.

Pakistan may have lost three wickets early on in the game, but the century from Younis and a half-century from skipper Mishab-ul-Haq has definitely put Pakistan in the driving seat of this second Test match.
