Pakistan have won the toss and elected to field in the first Twenty20 International against Sri Lanka at Dubai on Wednesday. A 0-2 loss in this series will result in Sri Lanka losing the top spot to arch-rivals Pakistan; a 1-1 draw will reduce their lead at the top, but they will remain No. 1; and a 2-0 win will further boost their position.
Apart from that, this is their last international T20 match before the World Twenty20 in March, 2014. Therefore, they will also look to get their order right, while the giving the youngsters one final chance to prove themselves before the major tournament.
