British journalist Peter Oborne has stated that it is very essential that international cricket returns to Pakistan as the country is one of the exciting and challenging centres of cricket in the world.
Oborne, who recently released his book Wounded Tiger: The History of Cricket in Pakistan, believes that it is a tragedy that international cricket has not been played in Pakistan, which is one of the great learning centres of cricket, since 2009, the PakPassion reported.
He said that it is incredible to see the sheer vitality of the general cricket scene in Pakistan despite the fact that the national team never plays at home. He further said that Pakistan has been a part of the cricketing education and experience of every great cricketer from Keith Miller onwards. It is like having the heart of cricket removed, he added.
