Quinton de Kock equals wicketkeeping record with six catches in South Africa vs New Zealand 1st ODI

South Africa’s Quinton de Kock on Tuesday became the ninth wicketkeeper to effect a record six dismissals in a One-Day International (ODI) when he took five catches and a stumping in the first ODI against New Zealand at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui. The world record is six dismissals and Adam Gilchrist has achieved the feat most number times with six occasions. This is the 14th instance of this record being equalled.

De Kock too catches of first three New Zealand batsman, Martin Guptill, Jimmy Neesham and Dean Brownlie. He stumped Tom Latham and then caught Nathan McCullum and Luke Ronchi.
