Rahul Dravid’s 9-year-old son Samit has once again shone with the bat, scoring 93 for Mallya Aditi International School against Delhi Public School (Whitefield) to lead his team to a 63-run win. According to reports in Cricketnext, Dravid jr powered his team to 168 for 3 in their stipulated 16 overs. The Mallya Aditi International School bowlers then restricted Delhi Public School (Whitefield) to 107 for 6. Conflicting reports suggest that Samit scored 91, but in any case his innings remains an impressive one. What is even more interesting is that Samit scored 77 just a few days ago. Dravid Sr was renowned for his firefighting abilities; be it his 180 in partnership with VVS Laxman (281) at Eden Gardens against Australia, or his numerous other innings, Dravid was India’s rock in the middle order. With over 23,000 international runs including over 10,000 runs in both Tests and ODIs, Dravid is a modern legend whose abilities have caused many to sing his praises, and deservedly so. Rahul has two sons, Samit and Anvay. READ: Rahul Dravid’s reluctance at taking high-profile responsibility a blessing in disguise for India
