After losing from a dominating position in their previous matches, it’s time for Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to pick up their pieces and put up a good performance when they face-off in the 14th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014 at Abu Dhabi on Saturday.

At Sharjah, RR squandered an opportunity to go past a solid team like Chennai Super Kings. But the Chennai spinner weaved a web around the batsmen. Whereas for Bangalore, it was a match where a victory was certain until a sensational catch and poor planning in the death saw them go down to a frustrating two-run loss. It is evident that Rajasthan are a work in progress and may struggle to replicate their superlative displays in last year’s IPL and Champions League T20. Sanju Samson has taken off from where he left last year and is doing no harm to his burgeoning reputation in this year’s IPL as well. Shane Watson is still learning about leading the team and the Australian all-rounder will take time to find the right mixture of experience and youth with his fledgling team. Whereas, the Bangalore team will be eager to see the return of Chris Gayle who missed the first three matches.
