After Cobras snared the wicket of Morne Van Wyk for a well-measured knock of 47, David Miller took over with some breathtaking shots and made 25. Khaya Zondo too played some fine shots on a track that is definitely holding up a bit at Cape Town. He was finally out for 16. Jacques Kallis bowled some great stuff to take four wickets for Cobras. Dane Piedt, the off-spinner too bowled parsimoniously.
Cobras tried every trick in the trade but couldn’t stop the opposition from playing shots. Beauran Hendricks tried a few cutters and looked to cut the ball across the seam to keep Dolphins batsmen in check. He bowled a fine penultimate over too. Finally, Dolphins ended up with 146 for eight. The score looks like a challenging total on the board on a rather difficult track for batting. It would take a fine effort from Cobras to chase it down. But they have some fine batsmen in their ranks, especially one expects Kallis to play the anchor role and take them to a position of strength.
Brief scores:
Dolphins 146 for 8 in 20 overs (Morne Van Wyk 47, David Miller 25; Jacques Kallis 4 for 26) vs Cobras
