Rangana Herath has registered the third best Twenty20 International bowling figures against New Zealand. It was a disastrous day for the Kiwis as Herath ran through their batting in the must-win ICC World T20 2014 Group 1 encounter at Chittagong on Monday. Herath who had replaced Ajantha Mendis ended the match with 3.3-2-3-5.

After posting a modest target of 120 for New Zealand, Sri Lanka’s stand-in captain Lasith Malinga hoped that his bowlers gave their best performance. But Herath alone was enough to run through the Kiwi batting. In his first over he ran out Martin Guptill and had Brendon McCullum stumped for a duck. He further broke the back of the batting by removing Ross Taylor for a five-ball duck. Herath bagged two in two when he bowled James Neesham for a first-ball duck.

A few moments later Luke Ronchi was walking back out leg-before to Herath. He finally finished off the New Zealand innings with the wicket of Trent Boult.

Below are a list of the best T20I bowling performances
