Punjab have gone into tea on Day Three of their Ranji Trophy 2013-14 quarter-final against Jammu and Kashmir 257 runs ahead. At one stage, Punjab were struggling at 50 for five, but then they saw a revival with Yuvraj Singh first leading the way.
Yuvraj was dismissed during the morning session and Mandeep Singh and Gurkeerat Singh carried the fight as they took Punjab past 200. However, Parvez Rasool then got two wickets Gurkeerat and Harbhajan Singh. The Punjab captain had scored 92 in the first innings, but wads dismissed first ball.
Ultimately, Punjab went into tea on Day Three at 230 for eight. Mandeep Singh is batting on 73.
Punjab 304 and 230 for 8 (Yuvraj Singh 40, Mandeep Singh 73*, Gurkeerat Singh 66; Umar Nazir 2 for 59, Mohammad Mudhasir 2 for 24, Parvez Rasool 3 for 36) lead Jammu and Kashmir 221 by 257 runs.
