The end is nigh for Jammu and Kashmir. They have lost Mohammad Mudhasir after a spirited innings. Hardeep still fighting out there. Umar Nazir is the last man and this pair is the only one standing between Punjab and victory. That shouldn’t take too long though.

Karnataka finally get the breakthrough as Abhimanyu Mithun dismisses Ekalavya Divedi. Still, Chawla in the centre and 124 runs to win the game.

Jammu and Kashmir are fighting hard. Having gone into lunch at 152 for eight, they have now gone to 200. Only a matter of two good deliveries Punjab would say, but then this will make them a little worried.

Maharashtra are running away with this contest. After Jadhav got to his half century, Zol has now moved to fifty as he has now gone to his milestone as an edge went to the boundary. Ohh what is Kaustubh Pawar thinking now? Only 108 required to win.

Surprise surprise! Murali Kartik has walked out to open the batting with Amit Paunikar. And Railways have moved to 16 for no loss. Railways have enough time on their hands to chase 271.

Zol and Jadhav are moving nicely after lunch here and have already essayed a few good strokes. Shardul Thakur is getting the ball to trouble the batsmen a touch, but they are happy to defend while facing him.

Hardeep Singh apparently has a fractured finger, but is continuing to fight a lone battle with the Punjab bowlers. A few good strokes by the two batsmen out there has taken Jammu and Kashmir to 174 for eight.

Bengal have been bowled out for 267 and that leaves Railways with 270 to get to win this contest and move to the semi-finals. Anureet Singh is the star for the day with 5 for 72.

Bengal have lost their ninth wicket at Kolkata soon after lunch. So, they still lead by 258.
MAH 111/2 vs MUM
Maharashtra are cruising at Wankhede Stadium. Vijay Zol and Kedar Jadhav have taken them to a good spot at lunch.
UP 181/6 vs KAR
Piyush Chawla continues to fight. But, Uttar Pradesh are still a long distance away from victory at Bangalore. They still require 152 runs to win. However, there is some fight in Chawla and he would keep them in the hunt.
Jammu and Kashmir’s hopes are fading with each passing minute. VRV Singh has got another wicket and now Punjab are only three away from victory. Hardeep Singh will now come back. The injured batsman may be the lone standing man for his team in the centre.
And then, Jammu and Kashmir lose another. Now 148 for eight. Punjab finishing things off nicely.

Bengal have gone into lunch at 255 for eight on Day Four. They thus have a lead of 258 at Kolkata.
Rasool is gone. VRV Singh dismissed him leg-before and then got the next batsman as well. This has been a very good comeback for VRV this season. The man has battled injuries over the years, but is here to do his best.

Maharashtra have gradually taken control of proceedings as Zol and Jadhav have essayed a few good strokes and found boundaries. Zaheer Khan is shuffling his bowlers around a bit.

Against our expectations, Bengal have stretched their lead past 250 as Ashok Dinda is using the long handle in the middle. This is a good psychological barrier that they have overhauled.

Jammu and Kashmir are in some trouble at Vadodra against Punjab. Ram Dayal has been bowled by Sandeep Sharma. Parvez Rasool is still there. But, effectively they are 123 for five as Hardeep was retired hurt.

Karnataka are now very much in command at Bangalore as Parvinder Singh has now been dismissed. Piyush Chawla has walked out to the centre.

Saurashish Lahiri is now dismissed by Murali Kartik. Railways are tightening the noose at Kolkata and would be trying to restrict Bengal. The mark of 250 seems too far now.

Uttar Pradesh have lost their fifth wicket. Shreyas Gopal is the man doing the damage again. Prashant Gupta is the man who has to walk back to the hut as he edged one.

Hardeep Singh, the Jammu and Kashmir batsman has to return to the pavillion retired hurt. A ball from VRV Singh hit him on the gloves and the game was a bit held up before he chose to go off. And now, Rasool comes in.

Big wicket for Railways again. Wriddhiman Saha is gone for 81. He tried to go for a pull shot, but unfortunately, he only managed to drag it back onto his woodwork.

Uttar Pradesh have slipped further after a mini-recovery. They had lost two early on, but now Shreyas Goal comes back into the attack and bowls Ali Murtuza. Parvinder Singh walks out to bat.

After the early loss of Ian Dev Singh, Jammu and Kashmir have stabilised a bit and are going well. Manpreet Gony is bowling and the batsmen have to contend with him.
MAH 51/2 vs MUM
A good contest between bat and ball at the Wankhede Stadium. Mumbai could have had a third as Vijay Zol played away from the body and was dropped by Kaustubh Pawar at extra cover. Abhishek Nayar was the bowler on that occasion. Kedar Jadhav has come in to replace Khadiwale and a lot of the pressure would be on him.
UP 86/3 vs KAR
Karnataka have taken their first wicket on the fourth morning. Tanmay Srivastava has been dismissed by skipper R Vinay Kumar. The target is tricky but Karnataka need to keep chipping away. Uttar Pradesh now need a good knock to take them through. But, Mohammed Kaif comes in and gets his second duck of the game. That is a pair for him. Uttar Pradesh in trouble.
MAH 37/2 vs MUM
Maharashtra have lost a wicket early. And, again a huge wicket for Mumbai as Harshad Khadiwale heads back. Zaheer came from round the wicket and banged it in short. Khadiwale tried to get out of the way, but instead gloved it and the ball was caught in the slips. A good start for Mumbai.
J&K 80/3 vs UP
Jammu and Kashmir have been jolted early as Ian Dev Singh has been dismissed by Manpreet Singh Gony. Interestingly, Parvez Rasool hasn’t come out to bat yet and the news we are getting is that Ram Dayal has walked in to face the music.
BEN 150/5 vs RAI
Bengal’s man main, Laxmi Ratan Shukla has been dismissed after playing a good knock. Huge wicket for Railways first up. This should pep them up for the day at Kolkata. Remember, Bengal lead by only three runs. Shukla has been dismissed for 76 and Krishnakant Upadhyay is the man who gets his wicket. Huge scalp!
