Maharashtra are 53 for two chasing 252 for victory in their Ranji Trophy 2013-14 quarter-final against Mumbai at the Wankhede Stadium. On Day Three, Maharashtra had bowled out Mumbai for 129 and began their pursuit of 252. However, they lost Chirag Khurana late on Day Three.
Zaheer Khan returned on the fourth morning to bowl with some fire. He came from round the wicket and got one to climb on to Harshad Khadiwale. The batsman tried to get out of the way, but he only managed to glove it to slips.
Vijay Zol looked impatient to start with and was dropped at extra cover by Kaustubh Pawar. There were a few attempts by him to essay aggressive strokes, but they did not come off. Kedar Jadhav and Zol then started playing with more caution.
