KAR 447/5 vs PUN

Karnataka’s lead is of 177 runs as bad light has stopped play once again. It’s the end of the day’s play and the hosts find them on backfoot with a huge lead that Karnataka have taken. Karun Nair is unbeaten on 151, accompanied by Amit Verma on 114 not out.

KAR 446/5 vs PUN

Karun Nair has got his 150 and Karnataka continue their domination. And they have gone off again! Bad light stops play again.

KAR 425/5 vs PUN

Taruwar Kohli completes his over after lunch and later Gurkeerat Singh Mann bowls his gentle off-spinners. He is swept away for four by Amit Verma instantly. Bright start for Karnataka after lunch.

Play commences after lunch at Mohali.  It is still overcast, but the umpires have taken the players onto the field.

Lunch has been taken at Mohali as bad light continues to stop play. Nevertheless, this is the official lunch time, so it was obvious. We shall wait and see if we get to see more action in a while.

KAR 417/5 vs PUN

Karnataka are now 147 runs ahead in the semi-final as bad light has been called at Mohali. Even Amit Verma has scored his ton and Karnataka are in total control.

As the players went off the field, the Karnataka camp was very happy. The players were hugging each other and celebrating almost as if the job was done. Yes, we have lost quite a bit of time here. The first day was washed out and we are now losing even more time. A Punjab comeback looks unlikely, if not difficult.

KAR 403/5 vs PUN

Karnataka’s lead has now swelled up to 129 runs and they are touching 400 at Mohali. Karun Nair is well past the 120s and Amit Verma is eyeing that hundred as he is on 92.

KAR 372/5 vs PUN

Karnataka have started off very slowly on Day Four. They are mainly defending and only picking the singles. Amit Verma has moved into the 80s and Nair has added only five runs since morning.

KAR 364/5 vs PUN

Karnataka have started off and Manpreet Gony runs in from one end. He delivers a no-ball first up, before getting into his rhythm. Harbhajan Singh commences from the other end.
