Going into lunch on the fourth and final day of the Ranji Trophy 2015-16 Group B match between Mumbai and Andhra at Dr P.V.G. Raju ACA Sports Complex, Vizianagaram with Andhra leading Mumbai by 34 runs with a score of 27 for no loss on the board after four overs. Mumbai will be disappointed with the way they have batted, getting bowled out for a score of 237 against the 244 posted by Andhra in the first innings. The result looks like draw but Mumbai will rue the chance not being able to gain the first innings lead. For Mumbai, Siddhesh Lad was the top scorer with a brilliant 86. It was him who saved Mumbai from the blushes of being bowled for a low score. Mumbai were in a lot of bother when they were reduced to 61 for 4. But Lad got decent support from Abhishek Nayar and Shardul Thakur as Mumbai got past 200. Ayappa Bandaru though ran through the lower order to skittle out Mumbai for a score of just 237. Mumbai conceded a lead of 7 runs to Andhra. Andhra came out to bat for just the five overs and already signalled their intent scoring at a brisk pace. Mumbai will be rue the absence of their star players in Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane who are with India for the series against South Africa. The youngster Sarfaraz Khan too moved to Uttar Pradesh and notched up 155 for them and Wasim Jaffer too left Mumbai leaving a big void to be filled.
