In Round Three of Ranji Trophy 2016-17, Day Three, Jammu & Kashmir (JK) got crucial lead of 79 runs against Andhra. Third day of this match began Andhra’s being at strong position at 72 with the loss of two wickets and Hanuma Vihari and Bhargav Bhatt at crease. Both the batsmen lost their wickets early on day three, followed by Murumulla Sriram’s wicket as well. Andhra were five down for 90 but from there on, Dwaraka Ravi Teja and AG Pradeep came into rescue act as both added 66 crucial runs for sixth-wicket partnership. Pradeep got out three short of his fifty.
Further, Teja continued to build another partnership with Ashwin Hebbar as the duo collected 94 runs for seventh-wicket. Teja was the first one to got out and fell 19-run short of his century, while Hebbar made 38. Later, Andhra were bundle out for 255 and gave a crucial lead of 79 runs to JK. From JK bowling department, spinner Aamir Aziz picked five-wickets, while Pravez Rasool got three-wickets to his name along with Umar Nazir scalped only one. At the end of the day, JK were 31 with the loss of two-wicket. Opener Adil Reshi got out for three, while Shubham Khajuria is unbeaten at the crease.
