Ranji Trophy 2017-18, Round 6, Day 4 Results: Hyderabad register win; Karnataka settle for draw in Group A

Hyderabad registered an emphatic four-wicket win over Assam in Group A on the fourth day of Round Six of the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy at Guwahati.

At Guwahati: Hyderabad registered an emphatic four-wicket win over Assam in Group A on the final day of Round Six of the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy. Hyderabad had scored 326, courtesy Bavanaka Sandeep scoring 84 and skipper Ambati Rayudu 83. In reply, Assam were bundled for 136, as Mudassir took 5 for 36. They did better after following on, scoring 331; Amit Sinha scored 122 and Rishav Das 52.

Hyderabad needed only 142, but Assam hit back. At one stage Hyderabad were 69 for 5, but Rayudu anchored his side to win with an unbeaten 52. Akash Bhandari helped him add 55 for the sixth wicket. Rayudu was adjudged the Man of the Match. FULL Cricket Updates, Ranji Trophy 2017-18, Round 6, Day 4

At Kanpur: Karnataka did not go for the kill against Uttar Pradesh despite a 324-run lead. Ravikumar Samarth and Mayank Agarwal both scored hundreds as they finished the day on 262 in 59 overs without losing a wicket. Both the teams put up a fighting performance with the bat, while the match settled in a draw. Manish Pandey was adjudged Man of the Match for his first-innings 238.
