At Surat: Defending champions Gujarat lead by 297 runs with 7 wickets remaining on Day 2 of Round 6, Ranji Trophy 2017-18. After bundling Rajasthan for a paltry 153 on the opening day, Priyank Panchal, Bhargav Merai, and Parthiv Patel scored centuries, taking Gujarat to 450 for 3.
Rajasthan used as many as 8 bowlers. However, Gujarat batters went all guns blazing, leaving nothing to chance.
On Friday, Chintan Gaja had wreaked havoc, taking 8 for 40. Rajesh Bishnoi’s 43* was the only ray of hope for Rajasthan.

After losing the first two wickets for 56, Ahmed Bandy steadied the innings with his resolute 67. However, Haryana picked wickets at regular intervals, restricting the visitors for 175 for 7. Hardik Patel, Ajit Chahal, and Ashish Hooda took 2 wickets each.

Trailing by 7 runs, Kerala took crease again. However, they weathered the new ball and ended day’s play at 69 for 1.
