Rashid Khan in today’s match became the quickest bowler to take 100 ODI wickets. Rashid achieved this landmark in his 44th match going past Mitchell Starc, who had done it in 52 matches. Rashid achieved this feat in the final of the ICC World Cup Qualifier 2018 against West Indies. His 100th victim was Shai Hope. He was adjured leg-before wicket for 23. Rashid has also taken the fewest balls to reach 100 ODI wickets landmark 2,127. He also has the best bowling average (14.2) and strike rate (21.4).

Rashid made his ODI debut for Afghanistan against Zimbabwe in October 2015. He was given the responsibility of captaining the side before the World Cup Qualifiers. They did not have a great start to the tournament, but came back strongly after 3 defeats in a row. They were lucky to have qualified for the Super Sixes despite having just one win. Rashid has already picked up two-five wicket hauls in his short ODI career.
