Ravichandran Ashwin became India’s leading wicket-taker in Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) when he took 3 for 24 against South Africa in the second T20I at Cuttack on Monday. With 29 wickets in T20Is, Ashwin went past Irfan Pathan as India’s highest wicket-taker in the shortest format of the game. Ashwin got rid of Hashim Amla, AB de Villiers, and Faf du Plessis. Ashwin opened bowling for India, bowling the second over of the innings. He struck in his first over itself, getting Amla out caught at leg slip for 2. His second wicket was du Plessis, who hit him for a six and a four in the over before getting foxed by a slower ball and hitting it to the fielder in the deep. His record-breaking wicket was that of de Villiers — for the second time in the series — caught by MS Dhoni. Live Cricket Scorecard: India vs South Africa 2nd T20I at Cuttack
