India’s off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is now the top all rounder of the world in Test matches according to the newly released International Cricket Council (ICC) Test rankings for all rounders. He now has 372 points followed by South African all rounder Vernon Philander who has 365 points at this moment.

Bangladeshi all rounder Shakib Al Hasan is in the third postion with 364 points. England’s Stuart Broad and Australia’s last Ashes hero Mitchell Johnson are in the fourth and fifth positions respectively. Shane Watson, Ryan Harris, Tim Southee, Dale Steyn, JP Duminy are the other cricketers who are featured in the top ten list.

Ashwin played 20 Test matches for India has 874 runs with two hundreds and and taken 104 wickets with nine five wicket hauls. He played handy innings with bat for India in past and saved the team. The recent rankings of ICC  is the recognition of his all round abilities.
