Ravichandran Ashwin wins CEAT Special Award for Indian Player of the YEAR 2014

In the 17th CEAT awards held in Mumbai, Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was awarded the Indian Player of the year 2014 for the stupendous home form that he displayed in dismantling Australia 4-0 in early 2013. The Tamil Nadu spinner received his award from Indian batting legend VVS Laxman and the wristy Hyderabad batsman lauded Ashwin on his intelligence and variation and his terrific j0urney.
In his acceptance speech Ashwin thanked Glenn Maxwell for making him think and innovate.The duo’s fierce battles were quite a treat to watch in the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL).
Ashwin also went on to mention about how keeps planning about the game. About bowling round the wicket he explains how the line helps him against both right- and left-handed batsmen.
