RCB need 18 off the last 2 overs against KKR

Apr 24, 2014

Yuvraj Singh and AB de Villiers went about their business without much fanfare for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in chase of 151 against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 11th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014. R Vinay Kumar came on to bowl the eighteenth over of the innings. He bowled a good bouncer to Yuvraj, which was duly left alone by the southpaw. He managed to hit a boundary over covers, to end the over with RCB needing 18 runs needed off the last two overs.

Jacques Kallis, bowling the seventeenth over of the innings, showcased his athleticism by diving to stop a hard drive by Yuvraj off his own bowling. He bowled a good final over of his spell, conceding just three runs off the over.

Earlier, Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh put on a potentially match-winning partnership for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in chase of 151 against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 11th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014. Sunil Narine bowled out in the sixteenth over, getting rid of the well-set Virat for a 23-ball 31 to finish with good figures of 4-0-17-1. 28 needed off the last four overs.

Jacques Kallis bowled a tight fifteenth over, in spite of Yuvraj flicking a leg-side ball away to midwicket for a boundary to end up with seven runs scored off the over.

Earlier, Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh had kept Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) well in control of the chase of 151 against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 11th match of the Indian premier League (IPL). Kohli was at his elegant best scoring at will against the pacers.

Sunil Narine was called upon to bowl the twelfth over, and he responded by bowling another tight over, going for just three runs off it. In the eleventh over, Yuvraj pulled Umesh Yadav over midwicket for six. Kohli followed it up by hitting Yadav thorough midwicket for a boundary to make it 13 runs off the over.

Earlier, Royal Challengers Bangalore lost two back-to-back wickets. After a 67-run opening stand, Yogesh Takawale was the first to be dismissed for a 28-ball 40. Parthiv Patel followed soon dismissed by Vinay Kumar for 21. Bangalore were 77 for two after 10 overs.
