Sudarshan Patnaik, who is renowned around the world for making beautiful sand sculptures of various things around the world, recently made a sculpture in honour of former Australian captain and commentator Richie Benaud, who passed away a few days back after a long battle with skin cancer. Australia Prime Minister Tony Abbott offered Benaud’s family to have a state funeral as he thought many fans will want to pay their tributes, but his family declined the offer stating that benaud wanted a quiet, private affair.
