Ricky Bhui who has impressed off –late with his performances for Madhya Pradesh in the ongoing edition of Ranji Trophy will lead India Under-19 team for the Tri-Series to be played between India, England & Sri Lanka that is scheduled to happen from 2nd December 2015 to 21st December 2015 in Sri Lanka. The Junior Selection Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) met in Kolkata on Sunday to decide the squad for the series. Rahul Dravid-managed young side includes the likes of Sarfaraz Khan, Yogesh Sharma and Himanshu Rana, who are quite a familiar faces in the Indian domestic league. Dravid recently in an interview admitted that he was close to identifying the team for the upcoming Under-19 Cricket World Cup in Bangladesh next year. Earlier his side had featured in the tri-series that also included Afghanistan and Bangladesh. India U-19’s put on an impressive performance here to beat Bangladesh by seven wickets in a tri-series final and remained unbeaten throughout the tournament. The coach who is very happy with the young boys said, “This was a good tournament as we start preparing for the World Cup in January. Some of the boys have put in strong performances and we are close to identifying the core team for the World Cup.”
