Ever since he was removed as Delhi’s skipper for the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy 2018, Rishabh Pant has been a man obsessed with runs. Pant, who had a poor domestic season thus far, came back to his brutal best. Pant slammed the second-fastest T20 hundred, taking a mere 32 balls to the milestone. His hundred came in Delhi’s game against Himachal Pradesh; they eventually won by 10 wickets.

Pant’s 32-ball 100 is next only to Chris Gayle. Gayle, playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore, had slammed a 30-ball century in IPL 2013 against Pune Warriors India.

Third in the list is Andrew Symonds, who had scored a 34-ball 100 against Middlesex in 2004. LP van der Westhuizen’s 100 for Namibian came in 35 balls against Kenya in 2011. David Miller (v Bangladesh) and Rohit Sharma (v Sri Lanka) had notched up respective tons in 35-balls.

Pant remained unbeaten on 116* as Delhi reached their target of 145 runs in just 11.4 overs.
