In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014, Kolkata Knight Riders were going strong through Robin Uthappa and they were looking good at the crease during the run-chase. Sunrisers Hyderabad were looking rejuvenated after the break. Uthappa came down the track and smacked the ball over the covers for a boundary. In an unexpected turn of events, Uthappa was run-out in bizarre circumstances. Uthappa’s partner sends him back and and the stylish opener grounds the bat, only for him to lose the grip on his willow at the last second and the bails were dislodged by keeper Naman Ojha.
The 11th over saw a Pathan vs Pathan battle. Irfan steamed in and bowled a ball that was short and wide and the elder sibling smacked the ball to the boundary. Then Manish Pandey went after Amit Mishra in what was a classy display of batting. First, a paddle sweep to the boundary and then picking up Mishra’s leg break and lifting the ball over long-on for a big six. Pandey then whipped the ball of his pads for another boundary.
