Mumbai Indians (MI) are at 149 for two against Rajasthan Royals (RR) after 18 overs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014. Kieron Pollard is batting on 11 and Rohit Sharma is on 16. Lendl Simmons has been dismissed for 62 off 51 deliveries. Michael Hussey has also been dismissed for 56 off 39 deliveries. Simmons and Hussey were involved in a 120-run partnership for the first wicket. Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat.


Rajat Bhatia was to bowl the 16th over. Kieron Pollard pushed one towards extra-cover and took off for a single. Rohit Sharma sent him back and the throw was accurate. Wicketkeeper Sanju Samson failed to collect the ball as he clipped the bails. So, Pollard was safe. Pollard then came down the track for the next delivery and mishit one towards long-on. The ball just went over the boundary for a six. Rohit then paddled one off the pads towards fine-leg for a four.


Kevon Cooper the bowled the 17th over. Rohit hit a full-toss outside off-stump over deep extra-cover for a six. James Faulkner was brought back into the attack in the 18th over. After bowling four good deliveries, Faulkner bowled one on the pads. Rohit got an outside edge and the ball went in-between the wicketkeeper and short third-man for a four.
