One-Day specialist Rohit Sharma and pacer Mohammed Shami have been drafted to the 16-member squad for India’s upcoming tour of Sri Lanka. The tour will take place from July 26 to September 6. Rohit replaces Karun Nair, while Shami has been chosen ahead of Jayant Yadav. Fresh from success in ICC Champions Trophy 2017, Hardik Pandya, too, has been selected in the side. Strangely, Abhinav Mukund keeps his place in the squad ahead of Gautam Gambhir, who has been in good domestic form. FULL SCORECARD: India vs West Indies, T20I

The Virat Kohli-led side is set to play 3-Test, 5-ODI and a one-off T20 series against Sri Lanka. All the Tests will take place at Galle, Colombo and Kandy. KL Rahul, who was injured in the fourth Test against Australia, also makes a comeback in the Test arena. Batting once again will rely on Cheteshwar Pujara, Murali Vijay and Ajinkya Rahane, along with Kohli and Rahul. Wriddhiman Saha is the lone wicketkeeper in the side. After a brilliant show against the Australians, Kuldeep Yadav retains his place in the side, which boasts of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja as leading spinners.

Bowling duties will be shared by Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami. Ishant Sharma, too, is retained given his show the last time Indian toured Sri Lanka.
