Rohit Sharma has scored a half-century against Pakistan in the sixth match of the Asia Cup 2014. That is Rohit’s 22nd half-century in One-Day Internationals (ODIs). India are at 82 for two after 15 overs. Rohit is batting on 53 off 47 deliveries and Ajinkya Rahane is batting on 11 off 19 deliveries.
Rohit got of the mark with a single off the first delivery. Umar Gul opened the bowling with Hafeez. Rohit hooked a Gul bouncer over deep backward square-leg for a six.
He then pulled a back of a length delivery from Junaid Khan over deep mid-wicket for six. Junaid then bowled one on the pads and Rohit flicked it away for a four past the short fine-leg fielder. Junaid then came from round the wicket and Rohit hit through the line over mid-off for a four. Rohit hit another four over over mid-off.
Shikhar Dhawan was the first wicket to fall for 10 to Mohammad Hafeez. Virat Kohli then departed for five to Umar Gul.
