In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014 game played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians, Bangalore got off to a flyer thanks to some wonderful pyrotechnics by Chris Gayle and Parthiv Patel. Gayle was in murderous mood when he faced Pawan Suyal by smashing him all over the park. Parthiv Patel too played fine strokes off the back-foot. Mumbai skipper, Rohit Sharma finally had to turn to his trump card Lasith Malinga to steam the flow of runs. He bowled a fine fifth over by using a mix of yorkers and slower ones. Mumbai finally got the wicket they needed with experienced spinner, Harbhajan Singh dismissing, Parthiv. They need more wicketas the outfield is fast and the track is very flat.
While Mumbai were batting, they lost their way after starting well. But Rohit Sharma’s pyrotechnics helped them to put up a fine total on the board. They ended up with 187 runs on the board.
