Out of favour two-time World Cup winning Indian cricketer S Sreesanth has been slated to appear on popular dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Ja as a contestant. The bowler, who was embroiled in the spot fixing scandal in IPL 2013, has been banned for life after allegations against him were proven.


However, that has not stopped him for cashing in on his celebrity status by appearing on a dance reality show. According to a report on, Sreesanth recently shot a promotional video for the show.


The promo features a smiling Sreesanth, dressed in flashy clothes, dancing to the Jhalak Dikhhla Ja theme song. The show, which is all set to go on air in June, will be judged by Madhuri Dixit, film-maker Karan Johar and choreographer Remo D’Souza.


This will be Sreesanth’s second stint in a reality dance show on Television, as he previously appeared in the show Ek Khiladi Ek Hasina in 2008, which was judged by Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram and Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen.


“Sreesanth is working hard to make his presence as a dancer. He has taken up a strict workout and diet regime to ensure that he is in good shape to experiment with the newest form of difficult dance forms in the show,” said a source from the unit.
